it's a thing that looks like Aunt flo form Bod with a ball in the bottom and you fasten it up with herbs and stuff in and shake it in a cocktail stylee. Like a shakeable pestle and mortar.
I've never had much luck with it as you are meant to put the stuff in in some kind of order and the welly that he shakes it with means I would have to sit down with a glass of wine afterwards to recover. I stick with a pestle and mortar, a herb ritter (I don't know what theyre called Nigella chops chocolate on hers) or a flat of a knife.

Jamie is great, he is a dencent honest bloke who cares about food and what people eat.
The series and book is a must have for anyone who grows their own or wants to introduce someone to it.
Try Pork & Pepper Goulash

Saw one of Jamie's earlier Naked Chef shows yesterday while he was up in Scotland .. he didn't have a pestle and mortar so he used a bowl and the end of a rolling pin. Now I thought .. see that's something i have in my kitchen so perhaps one day in future I'll use that rather than run out and buy something fancy and expensive (even if it is better).
I like little things like that.
Obviously!
I mentioned it

Fantastic!!!! Didnt let it thicken up as we had mash, nice as a thick gravy on top.

I did cheat a little I used, 1kg of cherry toms from a local farm shop which were around £2 to buy with 2 x 400g tins of cherry toms I had in the cupboard (T***o finest 49p per tin). We did feed 3 adults and 4 children so it wasnt too bad.
We are going to try it with onions, peppers and caugettes next time. I reckon you could replace the sausages with chicken or game and it would be fab.
P.S got my flavour shaker yesterday from A**s for £9.99, bargin!
