101 things we can do without

101 Uses For is popular and let's hope it stays that way. Our second book is presently called 101 tips for self sufficiency; we will certainly dip into this section for ideas. So post away and let's try and get at least one thread up to 101.

Dear oh dear! I'm sorry but Garlic, Vanilla and swiming togs MUST remain!
We have a blimmin great hole in the ozone down here and we have to cover up so we don't get skin cancer
Garlic & Vanilla are two of my favourite flavours (not mixed together mind you  ).

Oh well if we are going to have Garlic and Apricots, can I add liquorice and aniseed? Or perhaps we should have a 101 foods I detest thread instead?

Aluminium Foil too

Question- Can we still regard greaseproof paper as being envo friendly? If we 'out' plastic bags and cling film can I still wrap my sandwich in greaseproof?

What number are we on?
Oh well,

Ready prepared veg...just makes it have less nutrients, makes it dry and soggy, I just dont get it.

half hearted recycling...like putting corrucated card in with the paper, and leaving bags of the stuff by the bins.

Throwing away kitched scraps, the buying fertiliser for the garden!! crazy!!

Paying for manure!!! hello its free from any good stables!!

Absolutely agree with air freshners,...if your house smells that bad that you need a smelly gel to cover it up the bloomin well clean your house.

But can we keep religion, I like God.

Well I guess you can still shred and compost it... but IMO it's still not really needed

153. The unemployed (usually from Marseilles) who used to knock on the door trying to get money from people. They didn't seem to understand when I told them my husband was also unemployed - and NOT getting benefits like they were.
They'd still ask me to give them some money. :whax:

I saw a very good use for nylon tights, put them over the end of your downpipe from the gutter before the waterbut to avoid getting gutter debris in your butt.
