Well everything has turned out okay and I am now free of denture problems..........almost .
My denture fits and feel good but I would like to use zinc-free fixative which at the moment are Super Polygrip Free and Fixodent Free. I can't find them in the UK, they're not in Boots or Chemist Direct etc., but are available in the US (probably due to lawsuits over health concerns). Anybody see these products anywhere?

I'vee just looked back to when you had it done - February - so it's taken quite a long time to recover from it all! Glad your dentures and gums are fine now so onwards and upwards eh?! (sorry can't help with your question!)
