Yup, everything we're harvesting is either a self-set (mustard greens in the polytunnel) or sprouted seeds in the kitchen.

Finally pulled up the purple sprouting last month, still sprouting unfortunately but it's been there for nearly 2 years so we decided it needed to go.

Physalis! From the conservatory. I saved the plants from last year, cut them back and I've had about half a dozen little berries. I'm also now well into rhubarb, perpetual spinach, sea kale and chard, oh and most of herbs are up and about now.

Oh yes, I forgot the rhubarb. Crap yield this year though.

Oh, as always, I've got more rhubarb than I know what to do with... I should make wine with it, but I never seem to find the time at this time of year, and I haven't got the freezer space to store it.
Cheers

we've got so far:

spinach
spring onions
a few courgettes
various herbs

not too much so far, but we've just started growing here this year.
the fruit trees are fruiting just now though but there not ready to pick, and we have some strawberries but there also not quite ready yet. everything else is about to or flowering just now. we've been really late planting stuff too because we've been really busy. we just planted out the last of the peppers and a few of the rooted sweet potato cuttings we got from to tubers. still need to plant the celery seedlings but they are so straggly just now im doubtful they'll survive.

Stew it up with little brown sugar and shove it into jars. That way you've got rhubarb crumble in winter.

So far all we've have is rhubarb and strawberries, but there are signs that the cherries are finally starting to ripen and the first spuds are only a couple of weeks off. I hope.

Yeah, good call... I never seem to get my preserving head on until later in the year, but I really should make the effort.

Spring onions.

But I cheated - they were the leftover maincrop sets which I stuck in a pot in the greenhouse.

Of course, having complained about the unseasonable cold at the start of the week, it's been blazingly hot ever since... I don't know how my plants feel, but I know I'm confused. :dontknow:

Rhubarb - but only four stems as 4 out of 5 plants are annoyingly, flowering. Anyone know why?
Chives and most herbs inc. flat leaf parsley
Er...bit of leuttice going in the greenhouse.

Really behind and not enthusiastic this year...must buy some brassica plants as I missed sowing them this year, doh!

We have done lots of strawberries, some lettuce recently, and purslane, blackberries, and a handful of raspberries. That's all for our harvest so far this year, but we are looking forward to green beans late next week.
