problem with firefox! Help!

I dont quite know what ive done.

I cant use any apostrophes. Or forward slashes. Whenever i press the key for apostrophe or forward slash, it brings up the quickfind thing.

Whats gone wrong? Its really irritating...

Fee the / and ' are keyboard shortcuts to quick find. I only get the quick find box though if I don't have a text box like this. Do you get them if you type in a text box too?

I know the / was a shortcut in FF2, but not the ' so perhaps it is to do with keyboard layouts but I get it on both too!

This happened to me too the other day - wasn't sure what it was I did either.


Try hitting Ctrl F first if that doesn't sort it you'll have to turn the function off.


In Firefox go to about:config
Right-click and select New > Boolean
Enter searchkeys.disable.all
Set it to true
