what can I do with tinned mango's?

I have quite a few tins of out of date mangos in juice, the out of date thing doesn't bother me!
I have made wine with 2 of the tins, am thinking chutney thoughts but what else could I do with mangos? They make great smoothies but there are only so many mango smoothies I can drink in a lifetime!
I also have tins of prunes, got prune wine on the go, but any other ideas?
Cheers!

Mangoes - mango ice cream, definitely.
Prunes - leave 'em in the tins until you make more wine - not necessarily prune wine, but they make a great addition to any red wine, adding a whole lot of body and flavour.

I thought of ice cream, have never made it before though, will look into it, unless you have a good recipe - I also have a couple of pots of yoghurt and some fromage thingy that need using up.
Good advice with the prunes, thanks - it will be elderflower wine next I think, or blackberry depending on what is next! Do you squish them so the seeds come out or just leave them as they are?

If you're going to ferment on the pulp, it's squish and soak for the elderberries and the blackberries, and the tiny seeds can be left until you strain the must after a week or ten days. For the prunes, take the stones out first (if they haven't already been taken out), unless you want a slightly almondy, nutty flavour in the wine. Prunes are particularly good with elderberries because they speed up the maturation process (pure elderberry can take years to become drinkable).
Can't help with the mango ice-cream recipe - I only ever eat other people's!!!! However, I'll bet there are at least a thousand recipes on the net.

Mangoes are fine for jam, too.

I made a mango pie once that was pretty good, I think I just used the recipe for peach pie, but that was a long time ago.

I once used tinned mangos to make sorbet.
I whizzed up the whole can (no, not the metal bit too

) and placed in a tupperware style box in the freezer. every two hours I got it out and whisked it. it was lovely.

fab thank you for all of that - I will try whizzing a tin up with yoghurt and freezing it, taking it out every now and then to stir up - mango pie sounds delicious! As does jam, it would be great under a layer of marzipan
and wine is always a good idea!

could mango jam be used in place of apricot jam in say a traditional xmas cake recipe? I'm allergic to apricots and have always used whatever jams I have to hand.
