I've just been reading Nev's article on making and mixing your own compost, and he wrote this about different uses for cat litter trays:

1. Holding the compost while it dries out
2. Mixing the seed raising mixture in
3. A work platform while filling punnets with the seed raising mix
4. Setting up as a capillary bed
5. Washing second hand punnets in disinfectant before re-use
6. And if all else fails you can let your cat crap in them!

I have half a dozen of them in various colours and find a new use for them almost everyday.

I reckon we should add a few more for him!

18. Keep my wellies in to prevent the carpet getting wet. (Wasn't my idea to have carpet in the porch!)

Emergency salad bowl for those summer bbqs. I have a rather nice yellow one which would be very colourful for a 'do'!

At the minute, I use it outside my door for putting my bags of kitchen compost in, ready to go up the garden. Don't think it's gonna be a salad bowl now.

20. Use for potato trials... (One lab I worked at used 100s of them!)
21. Chitting tray for potatoes.

(Btw, I use the glass of an old washing machine as a salad bowl...)
