I thought I would share this nice little recipie with you as it smell delurptious
. I have made it for a fathers day present for my mums partner who is as close to me as he can be without being my dad who sadly died of cancer in 2000.
50g Lemon Balm Leaves
3 tbsp wheatgerm oil
115ml olive oil
1 tbsp honey
1tbsp beeswax
5 drops tea tree oil.
Finely chop the leaves disguarding the stalks. Place 1/3 into a pan with the oils and heat gently until the oil bubbles. Strain thorugh a muslin cloth and pour back into the pan with the second 1/3 of the Lemon Balm leaves. Heat and strain again and repeat with the final 1/3 of the leaves. Put the oil on a low heat, add the honey and the beeswax and stir until melted. Take off the heat and add the tea tree oil. Pour into small lip balm sized jars or tins.
there are some pictures of it on my blog below if you want to look. It has come out a lovely lime green colour. You could use other herbs so easily in this recipie or other essential oils.
