We have a gosling!

One of our goose eggs hatched.. not a very good success rate though - out of 10 we have had 1 hatch... another looks like it might still be viable.. but the third looks like a no go.
I am now officially a mother goose - the little one thinks I am it's mummy... not sure whether it's male or female yet but I keep calling it a him.
I now have a problem.. IF the second viable egg doesn't hatch, he's going to be somewhat lonely. We need to source a friend for him so will be having to look around to see if anyone else has embden goslings for sale... I guess it doesn't have to be an embden, maybe toulouse or something else.
We've got him inside in a box under the broody lamp and he's doing well so far... the cat thinks it's fantastic... cat tv!!! Don't worry... well protected from the sneaky feline though as we've put the box inside an old dog cage. Now just want summer to arrive!!
