hello from my narrowboat (currently in Newbury)

Post: # 258653Post Sarah Mack »

Hi, my name is Sarah and I live on my narrowboat (foxy lady (hendrix ref!)) With my soulmate Richard and our 18 month old daiughter Mia. Have lived on waterways for over 4 yrs now, and have never looked back. We enjoy living a sustainablish life as best we can. Obviously we can't have an allotment as we are travellers, and u r limited to what u can grow on a narrowboat. But we do generate all our electric from solar panels in the summer months. I hopefully can input ideas to this forum. Apart from boating our hobbies include making our own booze, drinking it, sharing it and listening to music

Hi and welcome from just up the road in Swindon.

Your lifestyle sounds idyllic. Do tell me that there are downsides, as I'd love to do what you're doing.

Hello from just down the cut in Devizes.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

I too think this way of life sounds fab!

Are there any struggles with having your little one in this environment? We have two little boys (3 and 1) and I would seriously consider a major lifestyle change with them if my husband and I can agree on one!
