I'm after things to supliment a household income and which I can do from home. Here's what I've come up with:

1. Deliver yellow pages using my pram with my baby strapped to my front.
2. Count votes at local or national elections.
3. Work for a sex call line thingy (Mr. QB said no to this one, odd that!).
4. Sell the junk I've accumulated over the years at a car boot sale.
5. Take in ironing.

Now I'm stumped....

6. Offer to do odd jobs around the neighbourhood. My friend puts up cards in the newsagent saying 'Girl Friday' and then what she will do and how much she charges per hour. She does cleaning, gardening, looking after the local animals when their owners go away - all the little useful things. She charges about £7.50 an hour depending on the job.

16. If you can cook, offer to cook things for people - when my partner was out of work, I made cakes and took soups into work (just thought, if you are doing this for more than friends you might need to be inspected - best to keep it informal).

This sounds like a winner to me. BTW, what in the name of the Sacred Fish-Fart is "stooze"?

22 Plant up any surplus seeds with a view to selling on the plants.
23 Don't just take in ironing, take in laundry (but you might need to collect / deliver)

I had to look it up. It's borrowing money on interest free credit cards to save in high interest savings accounts. Only one problem, where do you find a high interest savings account these days? :dontknow:

I am going to keep my beady eye on this thread, I am currently on maternity leave and have to go back to teaching 4 days a week to pay the mortgage unless I can find some other way of making £600 a month. REALLY don't want to put DS in a nursery or with a child minder.

An unenvious situation,my niece has just had her first baby, and is in the same boat, got to go back just to pay the rent.
Bit dire, but wouldn't it be more lucrative on supply?..at least you'd have more time at home.

Well I never! But you are, of course, on the money (as it were): what's high interest these days?
