still need a method that doesn't dismember them though, also you would have to cover travel and food costs :)

My mum catches them in a matchbox. Take the drawer bit out completely and drop it over the spider, then slide the outer cover back over. They soon lift their feet up out of the way. Don't do what she did though and put two in the box at the same time. By the time she got outside to release them she just had one fat one.
