Grape help...

Our vine is now heavy with fruit, but they've not started to darken yet (black grapes) and some of the grapes have shrivelled a little.

Someone has told us we need to thin them out, but how do we do this? Do we just cut bunches off where there are several together?

How many should we be looking to get rid of? As many as half, or less than that?

Also, do we need to do anything other than water the vine at this time of year? (It's planted outside, but comes in through the side of the greenhouse)

Thanks!

Sorry Shelley, I'm not being stand offish.....................but I have never grown grapes (they're on the "to do" list though!)

My grapes were sad specimens until I thinned out the foliage. Now they're coming along great guns. I think when you thin the bunches, you take a few off each bunch with wee snips.
