Doll dress question

I've started a crocheted doll's dress, DK with 4mm hook, and I'm following a simple online free pattern for a 10-12 inch baby doll, saying to repeat the row to desired lengh, but no dimensions and I haven't got a doll to hand. Lying flat, the chest measures 10cm across, the skirt is 16cm across and the skirt from the underarm is 10cm long. Do these proportions sound right?
