Bald Rooster!

Went out just now to give the hens some scraps and my Rooster has a white neck. On closer examination - all his feathers are gone  - he's got the plucked chicken look - just the stubs of feathers. It is about half an inch from his head, for about an inch.

What happened? No way could he have plucked them out himself - his neck doesnt bend like that! Are his harem picking on him? What do I do? :(

hi there

Hmm, when I got him (a month ago) I was told he was in moult which was why his tail feathers were a poor showing.
Does it travel up the way?
Start at the tail feathers and work upwards LOL
I hope that is all it is - I would hate to think he was henpecked - wouldn't bode well for any chicks come the spring if the ladies are whacking him whenever he comes near

sounds like he could be moulting and so will be fine :)
