Milk bottle tops

After having gone on about still have a milkman so have a wealth of foil caps.
I heard the Gardening Guru Bob Flowerdew on GQT (Gardeners Question Time) suggest that we should keep the caps to glue onto the tops of canes, as this will help keep the weather out of them thus making them last longer and to stop us from poking our eyes out on them too.
Just thought that I would pass over these pearly words of wisdom.

Incidentally Bob's father used to be my infant headmaster - don't know why I needed to share that with you but there you go!
