Actinidia/Kiwi Fruit

Don't know if anyone can help me with this, but I bought a female kiwi fruit vine last year thinking I would 'marry' it to a cutting of my seed raised male plant. The trouble with that is the boy is a huge grower and would take a lot of space up unproductively.

Does anyone know if the hermaphrodite forms will pollinate other plants too? Then I could have two fruiting vines and maximise use of the space.

Well being a Kiwi myself, but a definately un fruity one though, I think what you need to do is keep that boy in toe. Like I mean keep the male trimmed well back. Apparantly they usually plant one to five, and I know I never had that much luck. So keep it pruned back to at the very most only a 5th of the size she should be Jake.

Thanks Jake, I always did enjoy keeping a male in line. Just close your eyes while I find the secateurs.
