Does anyone have any tips for keeping wasps at bay from the Damson plum tree. The tree is old and fairly large, my sister says she never manages to beat the wasps to it!

I supose it is too big for netting?

Jars of sypup is suposed to work, they are attracted to the sypup and get stuck. But you will be killing the farmers friend, very useful for polinating.

A bruised garlic clove at the entrance of a wasps nest is also suposed to clear it.

I did suggest netting, it is a big tree but I had another look today and it would be possible. I don't like to kill them but last year the wasps at the farm were prolific, thousands of them. My 2 nieces could not play in the garden at all because of stings  . Carol (my sister) has noticed wasps flying in a hole at the side of the house so I will pass that garlic tip on, thanks
