In the midst of the packing to move, we've found some bottles of whisky.
Rubbish whisky...really rubbish stuff.

What can i use it for? Drinking is out of the question (i've got some nice stuff for that...) but anything else is welcome!

Disinfecting jars and lids for bottling.

Or for making liqueurs - mix with something that has a strong flavour (like black currants or coffee) and sugar.

Do you have a recipe for this heavenly sounding stuff?

How can you lose whisky? :drunken:

Do what I did as a student with wine: buy 1 decent bottle and scoff that. Afterwards the crap stuff tastes fine! :drunken: :drunken:

Alternatively put it in a decanter and dish it out to guests (only). Or give it as a raffle prize!

We'll do that with the full bottles, but there are a few half bottles.

It's not so much a case of losing it - we've got under the stairs as the drinks cupboard, and things get pushed to the back as new, exciting drinks make their way in. And there are various bottles that have been bought as gifts that dad has politely put in the garage.

We have enough nice whisky - we never ever ever lose that!!

i used to get a bottle of fairly standard whiskey every year as a bonus....
dont drink it much (apart from Irish coffee)
but have used several bottles as payment.

friend who is qualified and has chainsaw took down a split tree and logged it for us... gave him bottle of whisky. no way would he have taken cash.. but he was happy with out gift. i was happy with the logs.

so - use it to barter for something you do want.

ooooh, i'd forgotten about Stags Breath!!! I've got half a bottle of moniack around somewhere as well.

(and a bottle of Troll's treat, and some Spice Elizabethan, and a couple of others...and 6 bottles of my homemade stuff!)

That should keep me going for a while!

Bad wiskey + good mixer = a not too bad drink.

I've got a small bottle in the medicine cabinet for cleaning wounds.
