Hello from Radstock

Post: # 75472Post orchardhead »

I have just moved with my family to a, mid-terraced for energy conservation, perfectly orientated for solar gain, 300' south facing garden for reducing food miles to inches, great sense of community for peak oil preparation, stunning views of the sewage works for those of us with a technical interest in such things and generally exciting place.

In short its got the foundations for a sustainable, low carbon, self sufficientish life style.

None of this is accidental as I work as a permaculture designer in partnership witha friend. We trade as Edible Landscape.

I enjoy blogging about the unfolding permaculture design of my new home in sunny Radstock and am excited by the potential of backyard aquaculture and keen to hear from anyone with experience of this.

Blessings on all the self sufficientish community does.

Steve

Hello - I used to live just down the road at Peasdown St John. There seemed to be quite a lot of 'good stuff' happening at Radstock... trying to remember the name of the man that was building the eco-houses.

Looking forward to hearing news from Radstock and surrounding :)
