Question

Post: # 80495Post mrsflibble »

can white goods suffer from contagious sickness?!
first the fridge and freezer have gone a little senile in their old age- if freezer is at right tem, fridge freezes everything on the first 2 shelves- secondly my washer stoped draining properly for reasons my engineer hubby can't fathom, and now the cooker is on the blink. the oven has a sensor in it so we have to hold the gas on for 2 mins before releasing the knob for it to continue pumping gas into it (think it's an anti suicide knob) and it's getting longer and longer that we have to hold it for. honestly, if the kettle goes next I'll cry. why couldn't soph's toy keyboard be affected?!

Do these belong to you or did they come with the house? If they came with the house, I'm not surprised they are behaving like that, if your gas fire is anything to go by!

Aha - I think you might be on to something there. If one thing goes wrong in my house then several things soon follow. It must be catching.

Ours are like that too, I think its because they all get to that age at the same time as you bought them all together, then just after the waranty runs out they give up....so you buy the next stuff together and so it continues......

hey ho
kind thoughts

Gidday

There is an old wives tale that says when one thing breaks down there will be two others too because these things run in threes.

You should be right now.

The answer to the key board question is simple - childrens noisy toys are usually brightly and muli coloured - ergo not white! So I guess the solution is to paint all your big "white" kitchen gadgets in bright multi colours and confuse the f**k up fairy!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

 yay so thats the reason my first washer - a secondhand twin tub, which I painted bright orange (orange enamel, bought at rock bottom price in the sale at the hardware shop) went on for years and years - it might be going yet as I gave it away when our landlords wanted the house back, we had to move and it wouldnt fit.
