A life Stripped Bare

Post: # 85855Post Helsbells »

A Life Stripped Bare by Leo Hickman,
I am reading it for a second time, and it really is very good, its about a normal guy, 9-5 job, lives in terrace house in London trying to be ethical. Ithough it was really good, and very ish because he was doing what he could without givinig up everything and living in a tipi if you know what I mean. Highly recommended, and lots of good advice.

Read this a while back, and enjoyed it in parts, but was left feeling terribly guilty about things, (and often things I am doing I feel bad I am not doing MORE), but I think that is a)the way I am, and b)the way of living ethically

Yeah I know what you mean, but it has inspired me to start getting organic veg delivered, but its like what he says, you can only do so much, and only what you are comfortable with. There has to be balance.

I read it a couple of years ago and have it on my bookshelf - I will certainly read it again, but agree about feeling guilty about some things, although I read it when I was a suit so it will be good to see how I fair now!

I have a copy of this book after finding a review of it on Amazon. I tyr to a it more now after having read it.

Wanted originally "Not buying it " By Judith levine but Leo's book was suggested as a British alternative to Levine's. Still I did go and buy both
The only daft question was the one that wasn't asked
