{"id":132,"date":"2008-06-30T04:50:14","date_gmt":"2008-06-30T03:50:14","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2021-03-13T10:43:22","modified_gmt":"2021-03-13T09:43:22","slug":"apple-and-blackberry-crumble","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.selfsufficientish.com\/main\/apple-and-blackberry-crumble\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple and Blackberry Crumble"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1 kg Cooking apples<br \/>\n500g <a title=\"Blackberry wine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theotherandyhamilton.com\/2012\/08\/06\/wild-blackberry-wine\/\">Blackberries<\/a><br \/>\n150g Sugar for the crumble and 50g for the fruit I use Muscovado.<br \/>\n250g Plain Flour<br \/>\n175g Butter<\/p>\n<h3>Method<\/h3>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 200\u00b0C, Gas 6 or 400 F.<\/p>\n<p>You may want to cook the fruit for a while on its own just until it softens a little, as this makes for a more evenly spread of fruit. This is higlhy advisable if you are going to adapt this recipe and use it with plums or rhubarb.<\/p>\n<p>Rub the butter into the flour using your fingertips. You may use a low fat margarine for this if you are worried about the extra fat, but it is not as tasty, and what&#8217;s wrong with spoiling yourself now and again?
