Fattening Chickens
Hi Can anyone help me please. I've been given 20, 8week old Ross Cobb chickens for the table. I already have chickens which lay eggs, but I've never had any to fatten before. Can anyone tell me what feed you give chucks to fatten them. They are quite fat already and considering they are only 8 weeks...

Re: Hi from Scotland!
Hi I'm new too. I note you've got some turkeys, I'm getting two this weekend (for Xmas) and am really interested what feed you give them. The stuff i've been advised to feed them I'm sure is full of nasties. I want to feed them wheat, maize and scraps. Would that be ok. They will be free to range du...

Re: Town, city, village or what its only me and the cat
Hi
I live in a rural Lincolnshire village. 1 cat, 1 horse, 2 labradors, 8 chickens, 1 husband and a baby! I have always lived here, however love to travel and have been to some brilliant places in the UK, but for me there's no place like home and I wouldnt wish to live anywhere else.

Re: Inspiration please
Hi One of my fave suppers is potato, apples and onions roasted together with honey and mustard dressing. I serve it with lincolnshire sausages and its really tasty. For 4 people 8 sausages (lincolnshire or other good herby ones) 4 baking pots cut into wedges 4 apples (braeburn or cox's) quartered 2...

Re: When is your birthday
Add to the list and try to keep it in order - you don't need to include your age unless you want to. Copy and paste the previous message is easiest way I think. January 15th - daisydoo February March April 16th - Timberframer (David) May June July August September 18th - Shirlz2005 (Shirley) Octobe...

Talking Turkey
Hello Has anyone ever kept any turkeys? I'm getting two hen birds which I intend to fatten for Christmas, however the feed i've been advised to get is not what I would want to give them. I'd like to feed them stuff that hasn't got antibiotics and growth promoters in it. I was thinking maybe cracked...
