I'm just about to put myself a gallon of elderflower wine on and see how it goes, the hawthornwine i tried was a complete disaster!! lol it fermented for a day the just died i tried using a restart yeast but that died as soon as i put it in so i can only assume contamination somwhere along the line ...

Hawthorn Blossom Wine
Anyone tried this before? My old man has done this before but didnt taste it as he is an alcoholic (he finds the brewing cathartic but can't enjoy thr fuits of his labours) i was wondering how it tastes

Just put a gallon of hawthorn flower wine on last night, Took an age to sepperate all the flowers but should be worth it judging by the smell...

hey guys ive bottled my nettle beer and on the first tasting i think something has gone wrong. it is really bitter and smells like it did when it was fermenting ie a bit like vomit, the air lock had gone to zero so it is no longer fermenting but it leaves a very astringent after taste i am worried t...

yellowing of the tips could also be lack of nitrogen in the soil had a similar problem myself but not with garlicMillymollymandy wrote:They look good, I thought they were onions in the photo with the celery! Mine is yellowing on the tips, I don't know why it does that.
