Re: ESSE Range advice
...in addition, there is something called a laddomat, which you can put on the woodburner, and use it to allow the stove to heat up before any heat is extracted to the thermal store. As they say where I come from... 'Bingo was his name-O' If you are going to keep a W35 ticking over then the laddoma...

Re: ESSE Range advice
Hmm. I don't know what to do then.. what is the most efficient thing i can do? I really want a wood burning range as I cook so much, and the esse w35 is supposed to be an efficient burner that burns through the night so you only need to top it up a couple of times a day. I want to keep the gas comb...

Re: ESSE Range advice
If you want to go down the thermal store/accumulator route, I wouldn't advise using a wood burning range cooker as the primary heat source for it. The 2 technologies have potentially conflicting combustion patterns. The burn pattern of the range cooker is that is ticks over on a lower burn until suc...

Re: ESSE Range advice
From what I know I don't think you can pre heat water for a combi boiler. Grant CombiSol devices do exactly that to reduce the gas required by the combi. Edited to add: Thinking about it, wouldn't a CombiSol be a better option here than a centraliser? The range would heat your tank and the combisol...

Re: ...get rid of several tons of rubble?
Thanks for the suggestions all. I think the solution is probably a combination of all of them.
To give an idea of what I am dealing with, the pile is about 4 feet high, 18 feet long by 10 feet wide.

...get rid of several tons of rubble?
I have several tons of rubble in my garden, right where my veg patch is going to be. Several Problems, firstly it's no use for hardcore as its full of all sorts of other rubbish that the previous owner didn't want. Secondly It's a fair distance from the road, so getting anywhere near a skip (if I ha...

Hello
I thought I'd finally say hello. I just got around to signing up, but have been lurking for a while. I'm currently not even remotely 'ish' having most of my time taken up rebuilding the wreck of a house I bought 9 months ago and trying to hold down a 40 hour week to pay for rebuilding it. When I bou...
