Hi Ct, we live on Raasay just off Skye and there has been plenty of good advice given so far. Camp by the sea or on a hill :cheers: never in a sheltered spot by a loch or river :( avoid august if possible the best weather is always in may or june :wink: avon skin so soft IS the best repellant :cheer...

dunno owt about puters but stoneys post made look at my browser (firefox) it only accepts cookies from sites I visit and clears them whenever i close firefox

Yep, I think there is a big one on the way but as has been said if your not up to your eyes in debt and don't value the quality of your life on the number and size of your possesions you'll be fine :wink: A bit of belt tightening and a few sacrifices here and there is not in the grand scale of thing...
