Hi Ct, we live on Raasay just off Skye and there has been plenty of good advice given so far. Camp by the sea or on a hill :cheers: never in a sheltered spot by a loch or river :( avoid august if possible the best weather is always in may or june :wink: avon skin so soft IS the best repellant :cheer...

Thought I,d go and have a look to see how the wains were settling in there new home at the south end of Raasay.
