yesterday I recieved some eggs to go in an incubator but then when i swtiched it on the bulb blew!!!
I have already ordered some bulbs, which should be here 2 moro but relised they are 25w instead of 15w. I know it may sound soft ot other but i dont know if i can use the 25w bulbs, will they be too high?
how long can i leave thse eggs unincubated for? scared now!!
help needed bulbs on incubators!!
I have no idea about incubating eggs, but I can tell you that, assuming it's an incandescent filament bulb, a 25W bulb will throw off an awful lot more heat than a 15W one - about 66% more! Bulbs being the terribly inefficient things thay are, most of the energy is emitted in the form of heat rather than light. That may be enough to coddle your eggs.
im a bit confused???!

Ah, there you go - it's thermostatically controlled. In which case, it doesn't matter too much which bulb you use - the thermostat will switch it off if it gets too hot. Looking at the other models and their ratings, I think I'd go for the 25W bulb - it just seems more likely to fit into their pattern of increasing volume and power.
