No probs - colloquialisms are an interesting field in themslves. I once observed a conversation by some English women about the relative insultingness of the word "cow" as applied to the English female and her Australian counterpart.

Someone in one of the Big brothers used to say it all the time.

Me duck is also used in Northampton, find it odd when a man says it to you.

THANK YOU Andy!!! Everyone up here in Derbyshire thinks they have the copyright on Me Duck - whereas they DO say it in N'ton - don't they!!!!??? Phew - wasn't just my friends then!

I call people chicken too - and dh said that the reason chicken pox is called chicken pox is because years ago children weren't called kids they were called chicken.... dh is FULL with useless info!
