Personally I wouldn't complain if someone offered to cut my grass for free! Can you arrange for her to come round when you are there? That way, you can plug the lawnmower in for her and she won't need to come in to the house.

You could keep the curtains shut while she's there (to keep the sun out of the room or to stop your little 'un getting upset by the sound of the mower or some other such excuse).

I'm sure you could turn this to your advantage. Once you get to know her you can decide how much you trust her. Make a friend of her then if something needs doing on the house maybe she'll support your plea to the landlord!

unfortunately Thomzo, I don't trust our landlord as far as I could spit him/her. there fore I don't trust anyone connected to our landlord either lol!!!
