Hello from a newbie in Nottingham

Post: # 105018Post Ratty »

Hi all!

I'm Ratty. My hippy credentials include using cloth nappies on my 13 month old son, being vegan, growing my own veg, composting & recycling 95% of my household waste, badgering everyone I know to recycle, planning to rescue some battery hens this summer (anyone know anyone local to Nottingham wishing to rehome some needy chucks?) and would love to live co-operatively in the future.

Essay of Me over!

Thanks for reading :flower:

Hiya Ratty - welcome to the world of Ish!

You sound like you fit right in - although I think you are the first one who lists washing up as an interest... Care to come along to my place and indulge in your interest?

Hi everyone & thank you for the warm welcomes

Ina - I would LOVE to do your washing up! It is my favourite 'chore' and one I indulge in at all my friends' homes. I even washed up after a communal meal for about 50 people recently. Should I seek help?!

Right - here's my offer then: if you want a holiday in Scotland, I can offer free accommodation - and I'll save up all my washing up for you as long as the cups last! I warn you - I have quite a few of them!

Actually, once I get going I don't mind doing it, either. It's just the clearing away of junk so I can get at the sink and get started that holds me back. Sad, isn't it...

Wow! That is a very tempting offer! I hadn't really thought of my love of washing up being a useful bartering tool!

Hi Ratty - I also use washable nappies (hopefully this will increase my green credentials). I actually find them much more convenient than disposables......
