greetings from Massachusetts

We love hearing from you, so here is your chance. Introduce yourself and tell us what makes you selfsufficient 'ish'. Go on don't be shy, we welcome one and all. You can also tell us how you heard about us if you like.

greetings from Massachusetts

Post: # 107458Post chellebelle »

Hi,
I am the most recent newbie, I suppose. :) Saw this site listed on the freeconomy community site (justfortheloveofit.org) that I've also just joined. Unfortunately, no one in my immediate area is also signed up, so I guess I have some flyers to print out and distribute. :)
To make a very long story not quite so long, my boyfriend and I are on the path to a self sufficient lifestyle, which would make us self sufficient-ish, yes? :) We're both creative types, friendly (if a bit socially anxious at first), and a bit off the wall - but good folks, nonetheless. He's a master of homebrewing beer, and I am skilled at a few creative endeavors; art, photography, graphic & web design, etc. We have both recently begun learning about gardening, through much trial and error. We have started our very first vegetable and herb gardens. They are coming along quite well, and I think we'll have a pretty spectacular harvest if we continue the way we've been going!
I look forward to learning more about and teaching what I know about self sufficiency with the community, and I also hope to connect with local folks who are interested in freeconomy and self sufficient living!

<3 & respect,
Michelle
