Hello I'm new

Post: # 107188Post QuizMaster »

I've been reading through this site, it's excellent!
And just where did you get your logo??

I'm cheating a little here, we can hardly be described as urban. We come from Dublin, but moved to rural Ireland a few years ago.
Although we have 1/2 an acre, I'm just using one corner of it as an allotment for now.
We are very far north, so we need glass for a lot of things.
Also we are very very exposed. We had a greenhouse but it blew down. So I just grow a few things in the window ledges (mostly chillies).
To solve our wind exposure, I have put up a double row of fast-growing willows around the allotment area. You're supposed to be able to weave them into a live fence, but I haven't had any luck with that yet.
I'm nodding in the direction of being organic, but am not strict about it. Not yet anyway.
So I'll be posting mostly questions and hopefully a few answers on here.
Bye for now.

Reminds me of that Ian Rankin book... Oh dear.

Anyway, hello and welcome! I know a lot about wind and exposed - although there are worse places than where I live!
