How about changing the ranks to read, for example "Barbara Good (100-199 posts)" - that will give another indication of what they are there for (and what is needed to reach the unfettered freedom of having none of them!).
Also, what about changing the crossover points to maintain the increasing difficulty? At the moment, the gaps are 25, 25, 50, 100 and 300 posts to advance in rank. How about 25, 75, 150, 250 and 500 as the markers (so 25, 50, 75, 100 and 250 as the gaps). It might not make a lot of difference but will make the rewards more progressive rather than bunching them all up at the start.

No
- I suggest you seek advice
no-one likes being Margo
, I enjoyed being Tom though
Then again nobody is normal, if you were, you'd be very dull indeed

I have recently become a "living the good life" but a "ssish regular" seems a long way away.

But if you were to change it I would convert back to barbra. and I did enjoy being barbra.( bit strange for a 34yrold bloke

But it's more important to be nice.

I love this avatar thing, a real incentive to read more threads and post replies or ask questions
I hate being Margo, and doubt I'll enjoy being anyone except Barbara though!

hi all, couldn't resist posting a link to this snippet from the current series of Heresy on Radio 4. As you may know, Heresy is a programme where received wisdom is challenged, is this case the Barbara vs Margo... all in good fun. Enjoy.
click here for the snippet, mp3 9mb
I am going to put this in the TV section as well, which is what I was about to do when I saw your post

I was just reading through the posts and when I got to Muddypaws thought he was cracking a joke. And my typical ozzie answer would be to say "I'm revolting too on occassion." However you all took him quite seriously so I better be careful. Thanks muddy for the day to the standing stones your a real gentleman. Had a great time. My problem is I'm not much good at computers really and will have to wait till someone can help me put in an Avatar of any sort. Wombat said he would see what he could do on the weekend. I also think Wulfs new pics are great!
Always look for the positive.

Re: You will be margo!
I can't stand TV culture, so I'm revolting. But I don't expect to be listened to on this matter.
However, as a (self-declared) expert on user interfaces, can I suggest that the user name be given more prominence with a large font size? At the moment it looks like Tom Tit or whoever he is from the TV is the actual person writing. The user name is the smallest thing on the lefthand panel, whereas it should be one of the most prominent. This should also be reasonably simple to execute.
Thanks!

I don't know who the people are in the avatars, but it's amusing.
