I ignored this post originally as I thought the birds were in Lincoln so they would have been too far away. If they are going to make their way towards London, then there is a possibility I could collect a couple. I've just missed the recent collection by our local BHWT volunteers.

I have some ex batts and they are lovely girls. I could possibly have 12 more, but I am in Derbyshire - but not far from Sheffield, or even Harrogate. But I can't get time off work during the week, so would have to be weekend ......can't see a way round this so may have to give it a miss

When are the birds going to be released? We would like a few hens but will need to get them a home first! We are in berkshire, is this too far from the north london collection point? We could take 2 or 4 of them. PLease let me know so I can make arrangements!
