Howdoo from Manchester...
Howdoo from Manchester...
Hi there,
I have been lurking about for a while, so thought it was time I finally jumped in.
Im Rachael, 25 from Manchester and expecting our first baby in September *waves*
We recycle alot already, and have a smallish veg patch (toms, spinach, carrots, sweetcorn... would be strawbs too if it wasnt for the mices!)
hoping to be more 'eco friendly' when in parenthood, and currently wading through the real nappy options.
think the forum is fab... enlighten me!

Hi Rachael

I'm fairly new here, too
I really didn't get on with the towelling nappies, but those ones that are shaped like disposables, and you insert a folded padded nappy inside - they were OK, though a bit bulky.
Congratulations on your pregnancy. Don't expect to get much done in terms of gardening, housework, and stuff when the baby arrives. I only really started finding time for it last October when my youngest was 16 months old. Even now it's a struggle sometimes, but definitely worth it
