a)you would no longer be on the allotment waiting list
b) The council would have fulfiiled their obligation to provide allotments
Any body know if the system actually works?
PLANS are afoot for a series of temporary allotments to spring up all over Louth.
The idea outlined by Coun Jill Makinson-Sanders at a town council meeting was for discarded builders' mechants' sacks to be filled with compost for growing vegetables and flowers.
She said: "These could be located on derelict areas of hard standing. It is a practice which has worked well elsewhere. With the allotment site full, it could help to ease the increasing demand for new sites to be made available."
