I have got me a greenhouse

It,s only 4' x 6', but it,s intact, and best of all it,s free.

Just a matter of taking it down and getting it home now!
I may be asking for advice pretty soon

Very good! Well, I got two free windows, to put on my hotbed and coldframe, when I get round to making them... And now is the time to start with it - there's so many seeds that are supposed to go in in February "under glass".

Coo, you lucky thing Libby. I have been trying to get a freebie for ages. I have asked on my Freecycle group but no luck yet. I see so many greenhouses that aren't used and I wish I could take one in the dead of night!

My ex hubby has just bought a new place and has two greenhouses... he's not much of a gardener... and my first comment was .. oooh can I have one of your greenhouses then

He's not come back to me yet... I'll have to ask again. Nowt like cheek eh!!

I work on the same principal wombat, Usually.

There,s a greenhouse sitting idle that I can see from my garden.
The gent that used to grow in it died last year, and his wife doesn,t use it, but I felt it might be a bit of a liberty to ask.
I,ve been eyeing it up, but in the end I decided against asking in case she got upset.
Had to put the feelers out elsewhere, and got a result thankfully 8)

Well done, lucky you! I feel bereft as I had a greenhouse at my last house but I don't here - have to make do with a cold frame and a polycarbonate mini (very very mini) cupboard thingy which has a few shelves. Now I've bought a strange plasticy thing, shaped liked a greenhouse but more like a giant cloche. Anyway I have put it in the veggie patch to warm up the soil so I can get some early lettuce and spring onions in.

Tho' I see the weather forecast predicts more snow........

I bought,very cheaply,a polytunnel last year,a bit late in the season so didnt have much time to use it to its full potential but I have big plans for this year! Before that I had excellent results with a cheapy plastic covered greenhouse (I was supplying the village with cucumbers and chillis!) My neighbour has the most wonderful self built greenhouse,a real mis match of polycarbon roofing sheets and windowframes,not the prettiest of things but works a dream! Had to leave a lovely glasshouse behind when I moved here,bet that isnt used now.
