As part of our Transition Initiative we have started to campaign for more allotments locally. We have people here who have been told by the Council that they will be waiting 20 years for a plot.
We have set up a web page with information on allotment legislation and planning guidance etc. and with links and resources to download. It includes copies of the letters and petitions we have sent. It gives suggestions on ways to influence local councils. There is a description of our campaign so far.
We hope that it may act as a resource for other groups wishing to push for increased allotment provision http://www.transitiontownwestkirby.org. ... tments.htm
