Well known typing errors

Post: # 12218Post Muddypause »

I've just noticed that this forum seems to have an amazing ability to correct some spolling mistakes, when leaving others alone.

I guess I have to admit defeat with my current sig ('We don't have a plan so nothing can go wrong - Spike Milligna'). Several people PMed me about that, and now I see that it has magically (ahem) changed by itself.

The thing is, it is not a typing error. In fact it is A Well Known Typing Error. Milligan himself often used to refer to himself as 'Spike Milligna - The Well Know Typing Error'. He did this on his radio and TV shows, as well as in his books. Apparently he even signed official documents like that too.

So I guess I shouldn't have tried to be so obscurely clever. But put "Spike Milligna" into Google and see how many hits you get.

Hello GL1970.

If you get another one, you could call it Ramsey.

Is there a place on the Isle of Man called Ramsey? Or is it something to do with Gordon Ramsay (is that with an a or an e?).

Nev - capital of the Isle of Man is Douglas!

Hi Ina (and Wombat) the Isle of Man TT is when anyone who has ever sat on a motorbike goes over there, preferably with a bike, and rides at break neck speed around the place! There are official races but the people (or the ones I know anyway!) dont seem to be too interested in these!
Now, what did I come in here for??????

Thanks - but I did know that! It's just the names Douglas and Ramsay that I can't connect with it... :?
