We're currently living in a flat in Aberdeen but our block is hopefully getting knocked down to make way for a dual carriageway and a few extra roundabouts or something, my fiancee and I are hoping to get somewhere with a garden in the near future as I love growing stuff, my dad was a landscape gardener so I guess that's where my love for growing plants comes from, a few days ago I picked two 2ltr ice cream tubs worth of blackberries, gave one tub to a friend and attempted to made jam with my tub, I say jam but it turned out more like a sauce, it didn't really set because I didn't use jam sugar or pectin, it was seedless and didn't strain it through muslin because I couldn't get any

I doubt we'll have any livestock apart from insects I attract through companion planting but am looking forward to taking some cuttings of wild plants that I can grow in the garden, my fiancee, friend and myself take our dogs out every night and we see lots of plants on our walks, but most of them are weeds, ferns, pine trees and blackberries.
I'm really looking forward to finally having our own little garden but i'm guessing it'll take a few years before we get any decent fruits..
We would like to grow blackberries, gooseberries, strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes etc and a bunch of veg and maybe a couple of smallish trees but we'll take it one step at a time from when we find out the size of our garden, currently our 'garden' is under the kitchen windowsill which measures about 4ft x 2ft and is useless because there's lots of kids around and the plants never last, they see freshly dug soil then get the idea in their heads that there's worms in there so dig up my plants in an attempt to find worms!!!
If you have a few mins spare our border collie Barney is the one on the right at 0:22 we love him dearly, he's 10 months old at the moment :)
