Did anyone see Maestro

Do you think The Good Life could be remade, with me or Dave playing Tom Good (maybe not!)? If you have seen something on TV or heard something on the radio recently that you want to talk about, tell us here.

Did anyone see Maestro

For once there was a reallity tv programme that was worth watching, the celebrities were people who you knew who they were & they were voted off by the orchestra rather than the public except the last 2 contestants & I was glad that winner the person I wanted to win.

I didn't see it, but my sister plays violin in that orchestra and was on it a fair bit, scrapin' away.

I thought it was ace! It was a really tough one in the end though.. I liked both the finalists... woulda been nice for Goldie to win... he really appeared to have a natural talent there.. much to the surprise of quite a few.....

From the point of view of someone who watched it and who plays in a lot of orchestras, whilst I agree Sue Perkins should have won, Goldie would have got my vote for sheer talent! When you consider he had to learn the music by looking at how the patterns on the page were shaped and listening to the music because he can't read music at all, that makes his achievement all the more phenomenal. It was a great series and I'd love it to be commissioned again.

I think people underestimate the amount of musical skill Djs have to have so I wasn't at all surprised by Goldie's flair for it, he would already havea full understanding of tempo, beat patterns & where things drop in & out even without being able to read music, ok it is a skill he acquired through it & well done to him in developing it & doing well in the competition, but coming from the grounding he came from it carried no surprise, as I happen to be in a relationship with a Dj of various differnt genres of dance music.
