Anyone know of an easy to use, free to use content management system? I have been using Joomla, but want to try something more child friendly so I can get the kids at school to have a go at building a website. (primary aged children)
thanks

Yes, I've done work in a primary school using a wordpress.com blog. They're free and open source, which is ethically good. Also, there are no hosting costs, which is great for the school. Many of the themes have customisable header images, so you can include a photo of the school. The great thing is, you only need one user name and loads of kids can all log on and work with it at the same time.
Worth mentioning that there are a lot of child protection issues with working online - make sure you stick to the school's policies and think about spam comments etc.
Good luck with it.

Re: CMS
Thanks, not really what I was looking for but thanks anyway :)
What I really need is an actual content management system to build a website with.
I can use Joomla, will just take longer teaching the kids how to use it

Have a look at this
http://www.opencms.org/en/
It's open source, therefore completely free. If you Google on Open Source CMS, you'll find a few more, too.
