Hi from Co Cork, Ireland

Post: # 125973Post rebenny »

Hello, from Co cork Ireland!!
I am really getting into being ish and have been lurking for a few days, so thought I'd log on and say hi.
I live in Co cork with my dp and my 2 kids who are 3 years and my wee boy who's 14 weeks.
I saw something as I had my wee boy:
'I wouldn;t change my kids for the world, but I'll change the world for my kids.'
My partner and i have been working on this and are getting quite into becoming more ish, more eco friendly and more frugal and are having a great time doing so
So far we have:

switched to cloth nappies
bought 2 chickens (although one died prob from old age a few days ago :( )
making own bread
only using vinegar and soda for cleaning products
recycling, reusing and repairing where pos
collecting wood for fuel instead of using coal as we usually do
buggying where poss
switched to eco friendly brands where poss
we already have been growing fruit and veg, but we intend to to expand this next year

Feelin' good about it all and hope it inspires my kids too!

Anyway just wanted to say hi
Rebennyx

Hi there, I'm new here as well. How much ground do you have? pretty place Cobh, though i presume it must have grown, haven't been there for years. Are there still lovely places to go for walks around and about ?
