Post: # 127172Post chadspad »

My friend is nut intolerant. I am making lasagne tonight and have seen that the bechamel sauce I use as nutmeg in it. Is nutmeg classed as that type of nut does anyone know please?

I wouldn't have thought so but I'd leave it out to make sure. You can serve the Nutmeg and grater on the table so as people can put it on themselves.

There are folks who are allergic to nutmeg. Altho' it won't taste the same, it might be better to put the nutmeg on the table.

Could you call the person and ask?

Went round there in the end - didnt want to be responsible for a sick person! She is slightly intolerant but can handle it when its in a sauce, not when its fresh.
Thanks anyway guys
