About 15cm at the moment, a lot more in drifts, and more coming down at a steady pace! My boss stayed at home today, and my milk will have to stay at the shop, as there's no way I can get out in my little car... Several roads closed, so's the local school, and severe weather warnings all over the place.

sunny here now..... did have a long shower about half hour ago.
schools are all shut though and we couldn't get to nursery with Jonathan yesterday or today
I HATE that... we still have to pay when we can't get there.

Sunny, cold, small snowflakes putting in a guest appearance every now and then.

Schools closed today and should we have another fall overnight Im guessing that there will be no school tommorrow. Daft really as most of the snow had gone by lunchtime and it was hardly a major snowfall. Am I getting old or is there anyone else who can actually remember going to school in the snow and NOT being sent home?
Now, what did I come in here for??????
Sshhhh!!!
We don't mention the s-word! Speak of the devil and all that.
We haven't had more than a quick flurry although it is pretty cold out there. I hate the cold.... I'm the only person I know who can have a meaningful relationship with a radiator.
I bet it snows tomorrow.....

Not only that but we had to walk all the way there and back too! No cosy drive down the road for us in those days. Just extra socks , gloves and a home knitted balaclava.
Ah! Those were the days

oh yes.. remember going to school in the snow, but was a townie then. Didn't stop us going out on the razz at night either. I remember walking home in the snow at 2am in the morning with a bunch of friends - couldn't get a taxi for love nor money. Knee deep in snow and 4 miles from home... those WERE the days....
I still haven't ever done a snow angel - I MUST remedy that this afternoon :-))

I would have thought that snow in Scotland, especially up north near Aberdeen, would be normal every winter.
On the Brittany sites, it is full of English people always posting excitedly "We've got snow!!!" like they have never seen it before. Then they post photos and it's only a pathetic sprinkling or a couple of measly inches. That's nothing!

MMM - it does, and for the main part the schools stay open where they can..
Here, in our rural area the schools are closed because the kids, and in many cases the staff, can't get there safely.
This time the snow has blown and drifted quite a bit - David has just gone out in the landrover but said it wasn't much fun driving around. The plough had been through and he had to get a job application in the post. It's been sunny for the past couple of hours too, although the forecast is for more snow later.
