toddler nappies?

Post: # 132106Post lubeyblue »

Hello everyone...

am hoping for some nappy advice really. Have a 15 month old daughter and we used bambio mio reusable nappies until recently when they kept digging into into her legs, making them really sore. Plus we could never get her trousers up cos they were so bulky!! We're currently using disposables which I hate. So, I looked at the info on here which mentioned washable toddler training pants. I've looked on ebay but can't find what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any experience of this? I'm desperate to get away from disposables but can't bear to see her legs all sore...Have tried terries and plastic pants, same problems tbh.
Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks!!

Lucy (and Theo).

I would think - unless your wee one is ready for potty training - the training pants wouldn't be absorbent enough. I have just bought some for E (26 months) and they are really thin, just enough to catch a single light pee.

I have had most success with motherease wraps over terry squares. Motherease wraps are really soft at the sides and they were the only leak proof ones I tried (tots bots and cotton bottoms were no use)

Hope that is of some help

We are starting Gina Ford's 'potty training in one week' tomorrow... so I am hoping that my times with nappies are almost over.

As the other poster says training pants won't be enough unless she is training and you are willing to do MUCH washing! The bet ones I found were from Mothercare.
I used disposables with dd1 and have only just found cloth with ds (5months), we use shaped nappies, maybe these would work better for you as they won;t dig in as mch and aren't bulky.
Hope this helps

Hi. At this age DD was in Motherease Sandys with Airflow wraps. She's always been a fairly slim child but we had no problems with nappies digging in.
