Someone caught a wind generator on video when the braking system failed, in a high wind. It didn't look like it was going that fast until you looked at another generator. One of the blades broke apart, then the imbalance caused the whole thing to explode. There must be a great deal of power stored in those blades.

now this one I love screw effect of the smoke, it is quite beautiful in a (opps it is broke sort of way)

there are some very powerful FAILS on you tube, one the blades break and snap the tower !!

a huge amount of energy in them blades.
