Re: Best place for seeds
Wilkinsons do a cheap range that are fairly good, but they won't have a display till January.
Or you could try Woolworths, in their "End-of-Woolworths" sale!
Even the dreaded T*sco has an organic seed range, but I was very disappionted with the courgette seed I bought so maybe they aren't that good.
I love the organic range from Tamar Organic's catalogue, but they are a bit more expendsive (www.tamarorganics.co.uk).
If you lived near me I could give you some of my surplus, try your local Freecycle lot...you never know.
Hope this helps.

Stay out of T£sco. If we all keep going, soon there will be nothing else but T£sco
But seriously, a good place for online seeds (I will be using him this year) is Alan Romans. He is the potato man and also does seeds with minimal packaging. Average cost is 50p per packet.

Re: Best place for seeds
Some kind person recommended the real seed company to me on this site, the seeds aren't the cheapest but neither are they expensive, however the germination rates are fantastic, I've wasted so much mon ey on rubbish seeds before I just don't want to waste any more time, space, money or energy- I want food not dissapointment
sorry I'll calm down now

Just been in Wilkinson's (for doggy chews, greyhounds like pressies too
) and they have their seeds on sale. Seems like quite a reasonable choice too.

Re: Best place for seeds
I can give you a few kinds of seeds next year for free but I can't guarantee quality as they are coming to the sow by date and some packs have been opened, sorry. Just had a look through some stuff and I have sugar snap peas, dwarf french beans, perpetual beet spinach, purple sprouting broccoli, rocket, parsely, chives and basil if you want them. I'm only going to be growing toms, peppers, chillies and herbs and salads in my little flat next year. So if you want them then you can pm me and I can meet you in the centre or something, you're only local aren't you. I'd rather you take them than have them go to waste.
