Veggie Haggis

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Veggie Haggis

Post: # 136476Post Percy »

With Burns night being my next for a little drink and eats I have invited a friend round who has never been to one. Unfortunately his OH is a vegetarian which obviously means i cannot give her the traditional one we have ( I have an old customer of mine that makes mine for me every year ).
Has anyone any ideas how i could come up with something that i could present as looking right but without meat????

There is a veggie haggis recipe in Ma Broon's Cookbook - I am in bed just now but I will try to remember to dig it out tommorrow for you

Must try it actually as E (age 2) has decided Haggis is her 'own best friend' and since we usually only have meat twice a week veggie haggis might be a very good idea indeed.
